The Model S:
The full, round sound of this piano will make you forget how small it is. The tone is malleable, waiting for the player to decide what to do with it, like an auditory blank slate. It can be mellow and subdued or bright and energetic. The touch has some heft to it, which actually makes it easier to control exactly how each note will sound, adding to the creative freedom one experiences while playing this instrument.

At 5′ 1″ (155 cm), the Steinway S is the smallest of the Steinway grands. The design was first introduced in the 1930s, to invite the majesty of the Steinway sound into virtually any space.

Originally made in 1936, this piano has a gorgeous tone and a very respectable bass for a 5’1″ baby grand. The original soundboard, bridges, pinblock are all flawless. The touch is smooth, buttery and easy to control.
